Alabama championship means Cavaliers fans should be excited about another parade

Last year the Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals, the same year the Alabama Crimson Tide lost to Clemson in the National Championship Game.

After LeBron James and Co. lost that series, we took note of a special relationship between James and Nick Saban.

Eerily, the two have been joined at the hip going back to 2012, because every year Alabama has won a title, so has James. And every year the Crimson Tide have failed to win a title, so has James.

Well, as we all know, Saban won his sixth national championship as a head coach Monday night in a thrilling overtime victory over Georgia.

As of now, the Cavaliers appear poised to make another run at the NBA title. Heck, James himself has been to the last seven consecutive seasons, and nobody should be shocked if he makes it eight.

Granted, the Western Conference is absolutely stacked. It’s going to be brutally tough for the Cavaliers to win another title. But looking back on Monday night, we could say the same about Alabama’s chances of winning after going into halftime down 13-0.

Cavs fans should be gearing up for another parade.
