On July 1, the NBA’s free agency period will begin. That date will also mark a change not in who fans get their news from, but where. According to SI.com’s Richard Deitsch,¬†Adrian Wojnarowski will officially join ESPN that day.

Wojnarowski’s departure to ESPN has been known for weeks, although the exact date has remained unclear.

It’s been a turbulent year for ESPN in 2017, with many prominent on air personalities being laid off.¬†Wojnarowski’s addition will be a big deal for the Worldwide Leader, and will only help its NBA coverage.
