Adam Jones doesn’t want Andy Dalton tackling anyone

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton needs to leave the tackling to his teammates that are actually paid to do so.

If Dalton does not already know that, then cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones has this message for his quarterback.

“We’ve made that clear here. We’ve made that clear. Whatever happens, he needs to run his ass back to the sideline,” Jones said, via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk.”

During a Week 13 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers last season, Dalton attempted to make a tackle after he fumbled in the red zone.

Dalton’s not-so-brilliant mind lapse resulted in a thumb injury that kept him out the remainder of the year, postseason included.

Sadly for Dalton, his year had been going swimmingly up until the injury. Dalton had completed a career-high 66.1 percent of his passes with 25 touchdowns and just seven picks.

Now heading into a make-or-break season for the Bengals, Dalton would be wise to take Jones’ advice moving forward.
