Philadelphia 76ers guard Kelly Oubre Jr. has been released from a local hospital after he was struck by a vehicle while walking in Center City.

On Sunday morning, The Athletic reported Oubre “sustained broken ribs and an assortment of bruises and cuts to his body.” He is expected to miss “significant” playing time — but not the rest of the season — while recovering from his injuries, ESPN reported.

Per ESPN, Oubre was walking near his residence when he was hit by the vehicle. WPVI-TV in Philadelphia reported that the driver of the car did not stop.

The 76ers were off Saturday after playing Friday at the Detroit Pistons. They host the Indiana Pacers on Sunday evening.

Oubre, 27, is in his first season with Philadelphia. He is averaging 16.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals while shooting 50.0 percent from the floor and 37.8 percent from 3-point range in eight games (five starts).

He has played for the Washington Wizards (2015-18), Phoenix Suns (2018-20), Golden State Warriors (2020-21), Charlotte Hornets (2021-23) and 76ers. He has averaged 12.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 535 games (207 starts).
