WATCH: Video of Dallas Goedert being sucker-punched shows he’s lucky to be okay

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert was laid out due to a sucker punch while at a restaurant in South Dakota, and video shows he’s lucky to be okay.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media shared video of the punch, which had been first shared by a person whose source knows the owner of the bar, “Zoo Bar,” in which Goedert was sucker-punched.

It’s pretty stunning. Goedert basically looks to be unconscious before he even hit the floor.

ESPN’s Tim McManus shared that Goedert is “fine” after being hit, and based on that video it’s a fortunate thing he wasn’t hurt badly. After police were called to the bar, a suspect was arrested.

Goedert, 25, played his college football at South Dakota State. He was selected by the Eagles in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Last season, he caught 58 passes for 607 yards and five touchdowns.
