WATCH: Giancarlo Stanton hits home run in rehab game

New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton began a rehab assignment on Tuesday. From the looks of things, his power hasn’t gone anywhere.

Stanton hit a solo shot in the fifth inning, launching an opposite-field home run well over the right field wall.

Stanton has been sidelined since the first series of the year with a string of injuries. He had previously began another rehab assignment (in which he also homered), but was quickly back on the shelf.

Obviously, one swing alone doesn’t mean that Stanton is back. That said, he doesn’t seem to have a great deal of rush. This is definitely what the Yankees want to see.
