Tuesday’s game between the Cincinnati Reds and Oakland Athletics was delayed. Given that its the Oakland Coliseum, the reason feels quite appropriate.
The A’s announced on Twitter that the delay came courtesy of a lighting issue in left field.
The Oakland Coliseum has long had a reputation for being arguably baseball’s (and football’s) worst stadium. This will not help.
And for the Reds, this is two games in two days to be delayed for an unusual reason. On Monday, a game in Cincinnati was delayed due to bees. One can only wonder what Wednesday might bring.
