Athletics, A's

The Oakland Athletics wrapped up a series sweep against the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday with a 7-2 win. Afterwards, they had some fun at the expense of “Game of Thrones.”

Naturally, the A’s posted the game’s result on Twitter. In doing so, they took a hard jab at the “Game of Thrones” finale, which has not been especially well received.

Ouch. Talk about pulling no punches.

Of course, we have to think of the poor fans in Cleveland. It would be one thing if the Indians won the first two games and dropped the finale. Then they’d really be channeling “Game of Thrones.”

But this was a sweep. So, for Cleveland, this series was more like “Arliss” than “Game of Thrones.”
