New York Giants coach Pat Shurmur sees a lot of similarities between quarterbacks Eli Manning and Daniel Jones. He made an interesting comparison detailing them.
It started innocently enough. Shurmur touted how calm the quarterbacks are. It got awkward when Shurmur said that both Manning and Jones are “very fiery under the covers.”
We always figured that Jones would learn under Manning before becoming the starter. Still, this feels a bit excessive.
In all seriousness, It’s always entertaining seeing someone’s reaction when he realizes that he misspoke. Shurmur clearly did that here, but didn’t attempt to walk his metaphor back.
As a result, we got bit more than we needed about either man.
