The Toronto Blue Jays have been getting hit with a virus that has now affected Cavan Biggio, who was ruled out of Tuesday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Per Shi Davidi of Sportsnet, Biggio was at Tropicana Field when he was sent back to the team hotel to recover.
Since being called up last week, Biggio has generally struggled at the plate. He has just three hits in 13 at-bats for a .231 average.
However, he exploded with all three hits just two games ago against the San Diego Padres and sent one deep for his first career MLB home run.
