WATCH: Paul George beats Rockets with last-second three

One of the few meaningful games on the NBA’s slate Tuesday evening took place in Oklahoma City with the Thunder hosting the Houston Rockets.

Both teams had already clinched a playoff spot. It was more about seeding. Houston still has an opportunity to wrap up the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference Playoffs. Meanwhile, Oklahoma City can finish anywhere from the sixth spot to the eighth seed.

Needless to say, Paul George and the Thunder are looking to avoid the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors in the first round.

George himself might have helped matters big time late in the game. With his Thunder down 111-109, George pulled up from the corner and nailed a three with less than two seconds left.

Talk about cold-blooded right there. George and Russell Westbrook ultimately combined for north of 20 points in the final stanza. This came with Oklahoma City down 13 heading into the fourth quarter.

Now, with a win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, the Thunder could finish as the sixth seed.

Interestingly enough, a Nuggets win over Minnesota Wednesday evening would force Houston to take on Oklahoma City in the first round. Based on what we saw tonight, that would be a whole lot of fun.
