WATCH: Michael Chavis launches towering shot for first MLB homer

Michael Chavis hit his first career home run on Tuesday night. And the Boston Red Sox Rookie left absolutely no doubt about it.

Chavis smoked a ball to deep left-center. It not only cleared the famed Green Monster, but went entirely out of Fenway Park.

Christopher Smith of MassLive.com noted that it had an exit velocity of 110.2 mph and traveled 441 feet.

Chavis is rated (per MLB.com) as Boston’s No. 1 prospects. Swings like this will go a long way towards validating that ranking. He certainly made quite an early impression.
