Missouri linebacker coach Vernon Hargreaves, who’s also the father of Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Vernon Hargreaves Jr., was arrested on Saturday.

According to ABC 17 News in Columbia, Missouri, Hargreaves was arrested on an out of county warrant and released after posting $1,000 bond.

The 54-year-old coach joined Barry Odom’s staff at Missouri before the 2017 season and has been coaching the team’s linebacker since then.

The school has acknowledged the arrest and issued the following statement:

“We are aware of Vernon’s situation and are in the process of gathering additional information,” a Mizzou spokesman said. “Once we have completed that process, we will be able to offer additional comment.”

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Hargreaves’ warrant was issued because he missed a court date over a ticket he received in December of 2017 for driving without insurance.
