X-rays on Mike Trout’s injured wrist come back negative

The Los Angels Angels had a bit of a scare in their 7-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday night. In an attempt to steal third base, two-time MVP Mike Trout seemed to jam his wrist. It forced the game’s best player from the game.

Fortunately for the Angels and Trout, X-rays on his injured wrist came back negative.

Trout will miss the series finale against Tampa Bay on Thursday. But the outfielder did tell reporters that he hopes to play Friday when Los Angeles starts its series against the Cleveland Indians.

Trout, 26, is having himself yet another amazing season. The seven-time All-Star is hitting .309 with 30 homers, 60 RBI and a .459 on-base percentage.

While his Angels are out of the American League Playoff race, fans tune in to watch the star play. Having him on the field is big for the team’s brand. That’s for sure.
