Running back Le’Veon Bell might still be looking for that huge payday from the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the team did just lock up a fellow Pro Bowler on a lucrative long-term deal.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Pittsburgh has signed Chris Boswell to a four-year, $20 million extension. It makes him the league’s highest-paid kicker.
The #Steelers are locking up Pro Bowl K Chris Boswell on a 4-year extension source said, worth just under $20M. He’s one of the highest paid kickers in the league now. 💰💰🔏

A Pro Bowler last season, Boswell connected on 35-of-38 field goal attempts. That included a stellar 13-of-14 mark from 40-plus yards.
The $5 million average annual salary now ranks No. 1 among kickers in the NFL, beating out the $4.3 million New England Patriots veteran Stephen Gostkowski is earning. The $20 million total value is second behind Dan Bailey of the Dallas Cowboys.
It’s the continuation of the market being reset at multiple positions around the NFL over the past several months. That includes quarterback, running back, wide receiver, offensive tackle and guard on the offensive side of the ball.
We can now add the all-important kicker position to that growing list.
