James Harrison: Tom Brady is ‘the best ever’

Prior to joining the New England Patriots late last year, five-time Pro Bowler James Harrison had spent the vast majority of his career with the conference-rival Pittsburgh Steelers. During that span, there was no love lost between Harrison and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

Once the future Hall of Famer signed with New England after being released by Pittsburgh, Harrison’s former teammates took note. They were none too happy. How could he jump ship to a team that had dominated Harrison’s Steelers for the better part of the past two decades?

For Harrison, it was all about winning. That almost came to fruition with New England dropping the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now that Harrison has had time to look back on his brief stint with New England, the recently retired linebacker decided to lob a ton of praise in Brady’s direction.

“I’m a Brady fan now; I’m not going to lie. I wanted to hate this dude,” Harrison said, via Undisputed on Fox Sports 1. “He’s the ultimate teammate. Tom is a great QB. The best ever.”

Well, that’s some tremendous show of respect for a player that Harrison suited up with for a total of four games throughout his career. To most, Brady is considered the greatest quarterback of all-time.

A debate has raged involving him and Joe Montana, but eight Super Bowl appearances and five Lombardi Trophies pretty much moves the needle in Brady’s direction. Harrison seems to think so, too.
