During the middle of a no-hit bid from San Diego Padres pitcher Clayton Richard, both Richard’s team and its opponent, the Miami Marlins, had some fun on Twitter.
Conventionally, one is not supposed to talk about a no-hitter as its happening, so as not to jinx it.
The Marlins, though, were not surprisingly all about the jinxing.

The Padres wanted no part of that action.

Miami got the last word in the battle.
MISS YOU ALREADY, don't forget what Wiki taught you today.

The Marlins also got the last word on the field, with Miguel Rojas breaking the no-hitter up in the seventh inning.
The Padres remain the only MLB team to have never thrown a no-hitter. So, we can understand why San Diego was a little jumpy about being jinxed.
