Jameson Taillon willing to have ‘everyone come and pee’ on cut finger

Jameson Taillon

Jameson Taillon was removed early from Friday’s start against the San Francisco Giants with a cut on his right middle finger. To say that the Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher is determined to make his next start would be an understatement.

A significant understatement.

“I said if it helps, I’ll put a sign-up sheet and everyone can come and pee,” Taillon said, per Jerry DiPaola of the Tribune Review. “I don’t care. I just want it to go away.”

Interesting.

So Taillon is willing to have “everyone” pee on him, but a sign-up sheet is required. That makes sense. The last thing anyone would want would be for this process to become disorganized.

As was noted by DiPaola, Taillon wouldn’t be the first baseball player to follow this path. Moises Alou and Julian Tavarez are two other players who have gone down this particular yellow brick road, so to speak.
