The Philadelphia 76ers have it going on in a big way heading into the playoffs. We can ask the Milwaukee Bucks all about that. In their regular season finale Wednesday evening, both squads had something to play for.
But it became apparently relatively quickly that Philadelphia meant business in a big way. Looking for its 16th consecutive win to close out the season, Philly opened up a 46-18 lead after the first quarter and took an absurd 80-44 advantage into halftime.
As has been the case with these Sixers in recent weeks, the Twitterverse absolutely lost its mind. Here are the best reactions.
This is the @sixers eighth 70-point first half this season, matching @warriors for the @NBA high in 2017-18.

The #Sixers are up 70-29 midway through the second quarter and Ben Simmons hasn't scored and JJ Redick is not playing…and no Joel Embiid.

As the #sixers are up 41 points with 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter, on their way to their 16th straight win and 3rd seed in the East, the crowd erupts in a "Trust the Process" chant.

The #Sixers are out here crushing the #Bucks like Philly had a bunch of ringers in a church-league tournament. pic.twitter.com/55yCBrtn42

Sixers are up by 40. How is this old man still on tv. https://t.co/IWduqrm0jI

The Sixers are really beating another playoff team by 31 without Joel Embiid and JJ Reddick. Sam Hinkie died for this.

Sixers score 70 before Bucks reach 30.
