Packers reportedly angling to trade up for ‘top-tier talent’

Several teams are making noise about trading up in Thursday’s NFL Draft. But, a franchise that has been pretty quiet thus far just dropped this tidbit of interesting news.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Green Bay Packers are reportedly looking into a possible trade up from No. 14.

As Rapoport noted, the Packers have not moved up in the first round since selecting Clay Matthews all the way back in 2009.

This is indeed an interesting development coming out of Green Bay. Though, the Packers may find they need to start resorting to more drastic measures after tanking to a 7-9 record in 2017.

Current needs for the Packers would be finding a top-tier running back as well as targeting some help in the secondary.
