This is some insurance for the monumental investment the Vikings are making on quarterback Kirk Cousins, who will reportedly sign a fully-guaranteed contract.
Siemian isn’t a starter. He proved that the past two years in Denver. But he is a reliable backup quarterback who now has plenty of experience under his belt, having started 24 games the past two years for the Broncos. He went 13-11 in those games, completing 59.3 percent of his passes for 5,686 yards with 30 touchdowns and 24 interceptions.
