The Oakland Athletics have some very fan friendly promotions coming up in 2018.

Fans will be offered free admission to a game against the Chicago White Sox in April. Additionally, fans sitting in a specific section will get to name their price for Wednesday home games.

The A’s official website notes that “all tickets proceeds benefit the Oakland A’s charitable arm, which takes an innovative and dynamic approach to support education, promote youth sports, and provide economic opportunity in order to help make Oakland and the East Bay a more equitable and inclusive community.”

For those unfamiliar with the baseball layout of the Oakland Coliseum, section 322 is in the third deck and roughly halfway between home plate and third base. So, while it far from the field (as most seats down the baseline at the Coliseum are) the view of the game is not bad.

In total, the A’s will host 13 of these games throughout the season. Potential opponents include the reigning World Series champion Houston Astros (twice), the Los Angeles Dodgers, and New York Yankees. Another notable date is April 18 against the White Sox, the day immediately after the aforementioned free admission game. So, for as little as $1, a fan can take in two consecutive MLB games.

It’s certainly a nice promotion for a very reasonable cost.
