Marlon Humphrey hearing date set for allegedly stealing phone charger

According to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, a hearing has been set for March 1 for Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey in connection with him allegedly stealing a phone charger.

Humphrey was arrested and booked for felony third-degree robbery in Alabama by the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s department in late January. Though, following the arrest Humphrey said he accidentally took the charger from the Uber driver’s car when he exited it.

This is the statement the Baltimore Ravens released in explanation of the alleged incident.

The charges Humphrey faces are pretty stiff. Per Hensley, a judge will hear the evidence and decide whether to proceed or dismiss the case in the upcoming March 1 hearing.

Humphrey was chosen by the Ravens 16th overall in the 2017 draft. He played in all 16 games and tallied two interceptions, 11 defended passes and 34 combined tackles.
