The Miami Marlins will open their Grapefruit League schedule on Friday against the St. Louis Cardinals. During the pregame activities, the Marlins plan to honor the victims of last week’s mass shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School.
Per Will Manso of WPLG Local 10, the Marlins have ordered Stoneman Douglas baseball hats, which are to be worn before the game. If it’s permissible, they’ll also wear them during the game, too.
The Marlins intend to wear Stoneman Douglas baseball caps in the pre-game before their exhibition opener on Friday. The caps have been ordered, so the plan is the wear them. The team is not sure if they’ll have clearance by MLB to wear during the game. @WPLGLocal10.

The Marlins are not only the closest MLB team to Parkland, but half of the league trains in Florida’s Grapefruit League. As such, we should expect more tributes — both official and unofficial — during spring training.
