Leonard Fournette expected to play in Week 10 against Chargers

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie running back Leonard Fournette

The Jacksonville Jaguars did not activate Leonard Fournette for their Week 9 game against the Cincinnati Bengals for reasons other than football. On Monday, team head coach Doug Marrone was asked about whether he’s worried Fournette might have some maturity issues and whether he’d be playing in Week 10. He answered both of those questions.

When he’s played, the rookie running back out of LSU has been spectacular for the Jaguars this year. In is averaging 4.6 yards per carry, has gained 596 yards and six touchdowns on the ground and is a big reason the Jaguars are 5-3 on the season.

As long as he can stay healthy and out of the doghouse, Fournette will continue to be a big part of what Jacksonville does the rest of the season. He will likely be heavily featured in the upcoming game against Los Angeles, which features two of the best pass rushers in the game today.
