Cleveland Browns rookie defensive end Myles Garrett did not play in Week 8 due to a concussion. Defensive Coordinator Gregg Williams has since gone public with his support of Garrett, who was criticized by former NFL linebacker and current radio personality, Matt Wilhelm.
The legitimacy of Garrett’s concussion was an issue with Wilhelm.
Though, based on his own words, Garrett’s concussion was the third he has suffered thus far playing football. Williams wholeheartedly defended Garrett, saying he very much wants to play football. He also said Garrett is a tough player.
Gregg Williams says he "was pissed off" re: criticism directed at Myles Garrett over concussion & that stuff "pisses him off." Added Garrett one of toughest players he's had & he wanted to play #Browns

Garrett has since been cleared of concussion protocol and is expected to suit up when the Browns travel to play the Detroit Lions this Sunday.
Garrett missed the first part of the 2017 season with an ankle injury. So far in the four games Garrett has played, he has managed four sacks and 11 combined tackles.
There is no doubt that, when healthy, Garrett is a big-time contributor to his team.
