Warriors’ Andre Iguodala out for season opener

Even before they’ve had a chance to defend their title, the Golden State Warriors are already being bitten by the injury bug.

The team announced hours before their season opener against the Houston Rockets that super-sub Andre Iguodala will miss Tuesday’s game.

It seems to be a somewhat minor injury, but the Warriors are definitely attempting to play it close to the vest with the 33-year-old wing.

Iguodala, the 2015 NBA Finals MVP, returned to the Warriors on a hometown discount after turning down larger offers in free agency during the summer.

He’s coming off a 2016-17 campaign that saw him averaged 7.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
