Bill Belichick dubs Rob Gronkowski ‘Twinkle toes’ after last week’s TD

A touchdown is a touchdown no matter how gracefully the player puts the ball into the end zone. Last week, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was the prime example of a player that did not exactly waltz in for a score against the New York Jets.

But, it doesn’t matter. Endearingly, Gronk has earned the nickname “Twinkle Toes” from head coach Bill Belichick. The cool thing is Gronkowski takes his coaches words as a compliment, according to this report.

Gronkowski scored a total of two touchdowns stemming from 83 yards and six catches in New England’s 24-17 victory over the Jets.

In last week’s win over the Jets, Gronkowski tallied six catches for 83 yards and two scores. More of this, and it won’t really matter what the head coach calls him.

Next up for “Twinkle Toes” is a home matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
