Eagles fans cry tears of joy after watching Carson Wentz practice

North Dakota is small. In many towns within that state, everyone dies famous. So when something big happens, it takes over the entire state. It’s like most regions of the Midwest. And in reality, it’s what makes that area of the United States so special.

This is a prelude to a video we will show below in which multiple Philadelphia Eagles fans from North Dakota teared up upon watching native son Carson Wentz practice for the team.

Let’s not make jokes or laugh at these kind souls. They are truly excited beyond belief. One might say, crying tears of joy.

Wentz, the No. 2 overall pick of the Eagles in the 2016 NFL Draft, went to high school in Bismarck, North Dakota. It’s where his family called home during his entire adolescence. To many older adults within the region, he’s like a son. The Anderson family — depicted in the video above — surely represents the feeling of many in North Dakota itself.

This is just a reminder that football and professional sports a whole is about more than the stats and paychecks. For the players and those who have rooted them on their entire lives, it’s about family.

Pretty awesome stuff right here.
