As the Dallas Mavericks were honoring former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo on Tuesday, the Denver Nuggets weren’t exactly appear thrilled with the festivities. Apparently, as we learned from Vic Lombardi, newcasters in Denver weren’t in love with the idea either.
As the Nuggets announcers sent it back to Lombardi in studio, he delivered a solid troll line.
“Tony Romo suiting up for the Mavs, but Dak Prescott may get all of his playing time. We’ll see.”
BUURRRRRNNNNNN!!!
It's supposed to be Tony Romo's big night, but this Denver news broadcaster just couldn't resist trolling 😡😤 pic.twitter.com/sDg4eaLyQy

The idea of suiting Romo up has come under fire and Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has responded to the criticism with some harsh words of his own.
Lombardi’s comments appeared more like a light hearted joke than anything. Still, they weren’t exactly necessary, or terribly original. The attention that was given to this game — a contest between two eliminated teams — showed how good the idea actually was.
