Terrelle Pryor still thinks the Browns have a chance to make the playoffs

Terrelle Pryor

You can’t blame a man for being an optimist. That’s actually what we as a people need today. But optimism in of itself is blind when there’s really no reason to be optimistic.

But don’t tell this to Cleveland Browns wide receiver Terrelle Pryor, who indicated his team could win out when it boasted an 0-3 record earlier in the year (more on that here).

You always look to win every game you play. If you don’t, there’s no reason to actually be competing competitively. Unfortunately for Pryor, Cleveland has lost six more in a row since that statement and remains winless on the season.

Despite this, Pryor now thinks that his Browns still have a chance to make the playoffs.

No, really.

“We just have to keep fighting,” Pryor said, via Keith Britton of a local CBS affiliate in Cleveland.  “At the end of the day, I still look at it like we have a chance to make the playoffs. It’s gonna start this week. I mean if we lose (the chances) probably dwindle down. But you never know.”

Cleveland is taking on the Baltimore Ravens Thursday night looking to avoid an 0-10 start to the season.

For the sake of argument, let’s say the Browns find a way to win out and finish with a 7-9 record. Never mind, Pryor is out there somewhere above the clouds dreaming about better days. But at least the star receiver isn’t giving up on the season.

Maybe the Browns can channel some of this positivity and find a way to win a single game this season.
