Ben McAdoo hints that Josh Brown suspension may be coming

Ben McAdoo New York Giants

The entire Josh Brown situation seemed to take on a life of its own on Thursday. With news surfacing that the NFL may have been complicit in the kicker’s alleged abuse of his ex-wife, the league itself is reconsidering the case.

Brown himself was suspended for just one game after details came out regarding the alleged abuse of his ex-wife, Molly. It’s now possible the NFL might tack on five more games to said suspension. That would fall in line with what we saw with former Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy.

In this, Giants head coach Ben McAdoo seems to be hinting that another suspension could be forthcoming.

Not to make light of an otherwise serious situation, can anyone imagine Odell Beckham Jr. being used as a kicker? Those poor kicker nets don’t deserve this.

As it is, there’s now a strong likelihood that the NFL will attempt to save face by handing Brown a larger suspension. If so, the Giants will have to find another kicker. Heck, the team might be best served cutting ties with Brown altogether.
