Odell Beckham Jr., Verizon fool fans into thinking he’s a hologram

Odell Beckham Jr. is one of many NFL players who has a lot to prove in a contract year

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. teamed up with Verizon to stage a virtual reality experience with fans.

The venture had Verizon outfitting fans with virtual reality goggles and a special “power glove” to throw passes to a virtual Beckham when prompted in a headset.

What the fans didn’t know is that Beckham was secretly present, slyly running routes and catching passes thrown from someone else. Soon enough, fans finally found out Beckham wasn’t a hologram when he gave them a hug or a friendly poke.

In the end, the fans got more than what they came for when they received an opportunity to meet and greet Beckham literally in front of their face.

By Beckham’s expressions while in on the joke, we can speculate he had a great time fooling some unsuspecting people.
