WATCH: Notre Dame marching band gives slick tribute to school’s basketball teams

Kansas State recently came under fire for a halftime performance several deemed as unintentionally graphic, but the Notre Dame marching band displayed a stellar routine on Saturday afternoon.

In the video [h/t WNDU], the Band of the Fighting Irish can be seen successfully executing an alley-oop.

Without a doubt, it was a well-deserved tribute during what was a tremendous victory for the football team over No. 14 Georgia Tech.

Notre Dame’s women’s basketball team reached the championship round of the NCAA tournament for the fourth time in five seasons, winning the ACC regular season and tournament titles along the way. The team finished 36-3 overall.

On the men’s side, the Irish posted a 32-6 record, won the ACC tournament crown and appeared in the Elite Eight for the first time since 1979.

Hopefully Notre Dame’s band continues its excellent, family-friendly performances throughout the season.
