Report: Cavaliers to sign Andrew Bogut

Andrew Bogut

The Cleveland Cavaliers will reportedly be adding depth at the center position. Veteran Andrew Bogut has reportedly agreed to sign with the Cavs.

Bogut has played sparingly throughout the 2016-17 season. When the Golden State Warriors signed Kevin Durant and couldn’t keep Bogut’s contract on the roster, he signed with the Dallas Mavericks.

Bogut played only 21 games in Dallas before getting traded to the Philadelphia 76ers, where he was immediately bought out.

The Cavs are familiar with Bogut. He was with the Warriors during each of the last two NBA Finals matchups between the two teams.

He’s averaged three points and 8.3 rebounds a game this season. During his career, Bogut has averaged 10 points and 8.9 boards.
