The death of NBA media personality and icon Craig Sager last week set off a ton of tributes from around the basketball world. One of the most-respected figures in the Association over the past 30-plus years, Sager lost his lengthy battle with cancer at the age of 65 (more on that here).
Though, the honors being thrown Sager’s way following his death have not been limited to the NBA hardwood.
This past Sunday saw Detroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate honor Sager with custom cleats during his team’s game against the New York Giants.
It now looks like Washington Redskins defensive lineman Ricky Jean-Francois is continuing with this theme Monday night.

Not only are those slick-looking cleats, they pay homage to Sager’s one-of-a-kind style. A style that defined him nearly as much as his passion for life and love for the game he covered so well.
Good look, Mr. Jean-Francois.
