NBA broadcasting legend Craig Sager passes away

Craig Sager has been a fixture in American households for the past 35-plus years. A legend around the NBA world and someone players as well as his colleagues respected more than anyone else, Sager passed away on Thursday after a long battle with cancer.

In announcing Sager’s death, Turner president David Levy had this to say.

Sager, 65, had been battling acute myeloid leukemia, continually showing himself to be strong in the face of such a horrible disease.

Unforunately, Sager lost his battle with the dreaded disease on Thursday.

Since the announcement by Turner Sports, condolences have been coming in throughout the social media world.

Sager is survived by his wife, Stacy, and their two children. He’s also survived by three other children from a previous marriage, including Craig Jr.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Sager’s family, Turner Sports and the entire NBA world.
