Former San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears defensive tackle Ray McDonald was arrested for the second time in two days on Wednesday.
Two days after McDonald was arrested on domestic violence and child endangerment charges, he was once again detained by police. Wednesday’s arrest stems from McDonald violating a court-ordered restraining order to stay away from his residence.

McDonald, who was released by the Bears after his arrest on Monday, simple doesn’t get it.
Last year saw McDonald arrested on domestic violence charges. And after it was reported he was being investigated for sexual assault in December, he was promptly released by the 49ers. Despite this, the Bears took a chance on a PR disaster by signing McDonald to a one-year deal—a chance that obviously backfired.
At this point, it’s not about continuing his NFL career. McDonald simply needs to get his house in order off the field. His professional football career is all but over.
