Young Seahawks Fan Has Richard Sherman Prosthetic Leg

You read that correctly.

Ten-year-old Nate Semmler has a customized Richard Sherman prosthetic leg. Semmler was born seven weeks early because of a tumor on his leg, which doctors had to amputate two weeks after his birth.

For his part, Sherman appeared to be impressed by both Nate and the leg.

While Nate hated wearing the prosthetic leg, his family came up with a clever idea to make it more “fashionable.”

“We decided that we wanted to design something that was cool enough for him to wear.” said Mary Semmler, Nate’s mom.” And that’s where we got the idea for the Richard Sherman leg.”

The idea was a great one. Nate now loves to wear the prosthetic leg.

“He’s the best corner in the game,” says Nate.

Thanks to Safeway Incorporated, there was a coordinated meeting between the outspoken Seattle Seahawk and Nate at the practice, where Sherman gladly signed the leg.

During the meet, Sherman told Nate he might be a bigger fan of Sherman than Sherman himself is.

Like that’s at all possible.

Still, this is a rather cool story.
