According to Tom Pelissero of USA Today, Minnesota Vikings players were not informed of the team reinstating running back Adrian Peterson, who was deactivated this past weekend after being arrested on child abuse charges.

The fact that certain members of the Vikings team had to find out about Peterson’s reinstatement on social media is beyond ridiculous. As much as the media wants to chime in on this, the deciseion to reinstate Peterson was an in-house one. And the Vikings should have broached the subject with every single player on the team.
Who is to say that certain members of the Vikings are not digusted by Peterson’s actions, while others might support that way of discipline? The split we have seen around the football world since this story broke on Friday is real. If that’s an indication of the difference of opinion within the Vikings locker room, this could be a major issue for both the players and the team as whole.
There was no reason for the Vikings to let a player find out about their decision to activate Peterson through Twitter. That shows gross incompetence on the part of the organization.
Plain and simple.
