Zion Williamson, Pelicans
Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

New Orleans Pelicans star rookie Zion Williamson just continues to make ridiculous play after ridiculous play.

Since he returned from a knee injury, it’s been primarily on the offensive end of the court. Just don’t tell that to Oklahoma City Thunder forward Abdel Nader, who was on the receiving end of one of the most disrespectful plays of the season.

Check out Williamson swat a Nader lay-up attempt into the stands in emphatic fashion.

Basketballs are not supposed to travel at that velocity. We just hope whoever was in the front row at Smoothie King Center was not harmed by this.

Coming off an historical performance in his last outing, Williamson entered Thursday’s game averaging 21.0 points and 7.7 rebounds in just 27 minutes of action per game.

That seems good.
