WATCH: Shohei Ohtani singles in first MLB at-bat

The long-awaited debut of Shohei Ohtani was a huge success, as the Los Angeles Angles rookie singled on the very first pitch he saw during his first MLB at-bat.

It’s a pretty big deal. Because Ohtani has a miserable time of it during spring training. He managed a .125 average with just one RBI in 36 plate appearances. Needless to say, he’s getting his MLB career started out nicely after that.
