WATCH: Referees miss clear false start on Eagles touchdown

Generally, a false start is an easy penalty for referees to see. That has been anything but true in Week 13. Referees once again missed one in Monday’s game between the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles scored the first touchdown of the game. Right tackle Lane Johnson committed a clear false start on the play. It was not called.

A very similar play happened in Sunday night’s game. The Los Angeles Chargers scored a touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers despite committing a blatant false start.

Maybe Pennsylvania’s water has some anti-false-start potion in it that nobody knows about.
