Based on what we’ve seen in the early going of Thursday’s game, we wouldn’t be surprised if Northwestern defenders had nightmares of Purdue’s Rondale Moore for a while.

Moore was already off to a nice start. He caught a 32-yard touchdown pass for the Boilermakers’ first score. His second score, which came on this 76-yard run, was even more dazzling.

Another angle shows just how spectacular the cut that broke him free was.

Early in the second quarter, Moore has two carries for 79 yards, as well as two receptions for 43 yards for Purdue.

He’s not going to catch anyone on Northwestern by surprise. But based on what we’ve seen, we’re not sure that it matters.
