Dont’a Hightower and Kyle Van Noy delivered a big play for the New England Patriots special teams unit against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
With the game tied at 24 in the third quarter, the Bears lined up for a punt. But Hightower broke through the line to block the punt. Van Noy then scooped it up and ran 29 yards for the score.

A good punt there would have pinned New England deep in its own territory. Heck, even a mediocre punt would have put the Patriots in some trouble. But Hightower obviously made sure that wouldn’t happen.
It was certainly a massive swing in terms of momentum and, of course, on the scoreboard.
