WATCH: Mitchell Trubisky covers 60 yards on phenomenal 8-yard TD run

Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky ran for an eight-yard touchdown in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.

But to leave it at that would be selling Trubisky short.

Facing a pass rush, Trubisky ran as far back as the 30-yard-line, also going nearly sideline-to-sideline. But the scrambling worked like a charm. Trubisky eventually got free and into the end zone.

All told, Trubisky covered about 60 yards on the ground.

Almost as amazing as the run is that there was no block in the back or hold called. Penalties like that are frequently unavoidable on scrambles such as this one.

It was just a fantastic improvisation from Trubisky and the Bears.
