Punters sometimes get a bad rap. They generally only see the field because their team failed to advance the ball. So people don’t usually associate them with greatness. But that doesn’t mean they are incapable of some magical moments.
One such moment occurred Sunday afternoon as the Washington Redskins hosted the Cincinnati Bengals. Punter Kevin Huber received the snap only to watch his blockers utterly fail. With pressure coming right at him, he went behind the back to avoid getting his kick blocked.
The play ended up being a net loss for Cincinnati, but it would have been a lot worse if not for the quick thinking of Huber, who likely saved his team six points here.
