In an offseason filled with turmoil and drama for the Minnesota Timberwolves, everything skyrocketed to an even more chaotic level on Friday night.
Following a reported Jimmy Butler’s trade request on Wednesday and subsequent reports that coach Tom Thibodeau refused to move his star guard, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski dropped a bomb about the level of dysfunction in Minnesota’s front office.
Story filed to ESPN: As Minnesota’s front office tells inquiring rivals that team has no plans to trade Jimmy Butler, owner Glen Taylor had a different message at NBA’s Board of Governors meetings: Butler is available and owners/GM’s should contact Taylor himself if necessary.
