The Miami Dolphins announced new jersey numbers for their incoming veteran and rookie players, including Tua Tagovailoa — who’ll wear No. 1.
A few minutes after the team’s official announcement, Tagovailoa shared a really cool pic of himself wearing the No. 1 Dolphins jersey. He included the clever caption, “For the Audience of 1.”
The former Alabama Crimson Tide star may not play a heck of a lot — if at all — in 2020. Miami has veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick on the roster. And given the fact that training camps may be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic rookies will have a harder time than usual to pick up the NFL game this season.
But whenever Tagovailoa does get his chance to shine, he’ll be one of the most watched young players in the NFL. Selected fifth overall, this rookie has tantalizing skill and a tremendous arm. We can’t wait to see No. 1 sling it around the yard on Sundays.
