Titans’ Rishard Matthews to honor Colin Kaepernick on Sunday

By Vincent Frank

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Rishard Matthews is about to make a major statement as he takes to the field Sunday against the Houston Texans.

The team’s leading pass catcher will honor free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick with these amazing cleats.

“I don’t have a foundation so i have chosen to support my brother @kaepernick7 foundation @yourrightscamp for #MyCauseMyCleats. He has paid the ultimate sacrifice in order to bring true everyday issues to light,” Matthews noted on his Instagram account.

That’s some true fire right there.

This is a continuation of the #MyCauseMyCleats campaign that will take over the NFL world during Week 13.

It’s likely not what the NFL had in mind, especially with Kaepernick taking part in a grievance against the league’s teams claiming that he’s been blackballed due to the National Anthem protests he started last season. But the league can’t sit back and dictate what cause its players choose to support.

Regardless of our stance on Kaepernick, his Know Your Rights Camp has been a smashing success. It’s an off-branch of the community service work that has defined Kaepernick’s life since he last took a step on the football field.
